Smoky Meatballs

Buttermilk Bacon Crackers bring smoke, seasoning, and a little texture to these meatballs. They are made for a generous pot of sauce and the kind of meal that does not need much fuss around it.

The cracker connection

Made with Buttermilk Bacon Crackers.

The cracker crumbs season the mixture and give the meatballs a little extra texture. This batch makes about 14 meatballs, roughly 1½ inches each, cooked gently in one 16-ounce jar of sauce.

The recipe is written the way Jack makes it: simmered until cooked through, without an added internal-temperature instruction.
